Golf Digest is requesting
to see a SofTrak green?
We at SofTrak were very excited that Golf Digest had heard
about SofTrak, the quality of our greens and wanted to
visit a one. The request was actually to see a “vintage
SofTrak green”; the true test of quality is time.
As with most the country our plans were effected by the
hurricanes and disasters of the summer of 2005. The visit
to the green had to be rescheduled multiple times due to
weather related factors, we were beginning to wonder if
it would ever happen; finally successful arrangements were
made. They greens visited were 4000 sq foot greens
both part of the same project installed by Greens by Design,
a dealership owned by Steve Goldberg. They had been
in place just under two years.

on Golf Digest’s experience and impression of SofTrak. Did
we make the grade, what would he have to say? The
Finally the phone rang and it was Dan Shepard with
our PR firm. “Ron hit shots into the green
from teeing areas, from greenside bunkers and putted extensively.
Ron was impressed and said he’d never experienced
such a high-performance synthetic green. He says Golf Digest
has a synthetic green at its Wilton, Ct., headquarters
and it pales compared to the SofTrak green he tested today.
Furthermore, he said he’d never seen such a sophisticated
synthetic green complex.”
