Company Donates Greens
Children in Branson, Mo., will have new synthetic greens
to putt on thanks to VersaSport International, LLC, exclusive
supplier of SofTrak synthetic putting greens.
The Wichita-based company announced the design and construction
of a 5,000 square foot chipping green and an 8,000 square
foot putting green at the Payne Stewart Memorial Golf &
Leadership Complex in Branson.
The complex is used by Kids Across America (KAA) camp attendees
-more than 6,000 inner-city youth from across the country
- First Tee Ozarks participants. It's an extension of Payne
and Tracey's Stewart's dedication to positively influence
kids through golf.
The Payne Stewart Memorial Golf Facility is a Bobby Clampett
design and features a 400-yard driving range with nine target
greens and tee lines on both ends. It also features the
two SofTrak putting and chipping greens.
"The SofTrak greens are outstanding and will provide
so many children with opportunities they might not otherwise
enjoy,"
says
director Mark Parry of the Payne Stewart Memorial gof complex.
"The SofTrak greens are great because they provide
realistic performance, low-maintenance, durability and very
nice looking greens - all things that are necessary at a
complex like ours."
VersaSport has recently added a Tulsa dealership run by
certified installer Randal Wise of Greenkeeper's Landscapes,
Inc.
The growing trend of synthetic greens nationwide convinced
Wise to add the design and construction of synthetic greens
to his core business. While researching synthetic greens
he said he was impressed with SofTrak's high-performance,
low-maintenance characteristics.
Wise said he was also impressed by SofTrak's ability to
hold longer shots. he set up a pitching station from 25
yards out to a demonstration green at his facility. To test
